Displacement Story

The story begins with a teenage boy by the name of Ryan.  Ryan was an ambitious musician, the son of a successful businessman who was well known and respected around the world. Ryan had worked hard all his life to one day make a name for himself through his music, and earn himself the respect that his father before him had acquired. One day, an opportunity presented itself for Ryan to finally show his skills to the world when his uncle, a well known music festival organizer, extended him an invitation to play his music at the largest concert in all the world. Ryan accepted and dashed to his father to ask him for the proper equipment and apparel to put on the absolute best performance he can. His wish was granted, and he set off to the show anxiously awaiting his chance to make a name for himself. Despite the fact there were many great acts playing at this show, Ryan shined brighter than all of them.  He immediately became famous worldwide. However, the fame was getting to Ryan, and his uncle warned his father that if he returned home this way that his egotistical attitude would likely bring down his family and all their reputation they have built over the years. Fearful of this, Ryan's father sent out a local priest to speak with Ryan, and remind him to remain humble despite his fame. The priest took Ryan through three very poor areas, and showed him another side to the world. Ryan was horrified by this reality, and humbled by what the priest had showed him. His ego had been tamed, and he returned home a man who was loved by all for his music but knew his place and remained humble. He dedicated his life to helping those in need, and was loved and respected by his family and all others just as much if not more than his father before him.
